So the discussion started with scabies (an insect burrowing into the skin, often of the hand) and meandered into the more familiar areas of the the mons and nether-regions, following its logical progression to pubic lice. Alas, we both realized that neither of us had ever seen a pubic louse to our great distress. With our significant experience with the "nether-regions," and trust me there have been glorious specimens, we could not fathom how this might be possible.
So, doing what we do, we looked it up. Turns out that this noble beast is, gasp, becoming extinct. Curse those with good hygiene. Before I get more choked up about this emotional situation, here's the link with more up to date information.
